10 Biggest Online Shopping Fails
With each online purchase you’re taking a risk, because your purchase can be exactly what you wanted, or it can be a complete disaster and nothing like the image on the internet.
Read on to find out some of the most ridiculous online shopping fails that will traumatize you from shopping on the internet for a bit of a while.
1. Snake Belt: Always look at the item reviews. Here’s a pretty realistic looking snake belt, and that’s what the customer expected to receive when they placed the order.
Instead, they got a belt that could be mistaken for a child’s toy from the local store.
2. Bathing suits: Online shopping for bathing suits is a tricky one because a bikini is really something that should be tried on in person before purchasing. The material, the look and the way it stands on your body is all subjective to the purchaser, so it’s really hard to make the purchase with confidence that it will be a good one.
This person was not the subject to such luck, as the bikini top looks absolutely nothing like the one in the picture. The entire sexy ambiance of the outfit was completely destroyed the minute she put the bathing suit top on, and it’s not so much her fault as it is the manufacturers.
3. Halloween Costumes: Here’s another tricky online purchase. Many women strive to get that sexy look for their costume, but sometimes you don’t get exactly what you’re looking for. Especially if you take a leap of faith and order online.
Here’s one customer that looks more like a ghost or toilet paper roll than Princess Leia.
4. Wigs: Wigs are a very strong and noticeable accessory to pull off, so relying on purchasing one before actually trying it on is not the smartest move.
This is one customer that had to learn it the hard way. I don’t think it gets tackier than this.
5. Wedding Dress: I’m not sure which woman would actually resort to ordering something as crucial as a wedding dress online, without even trying it on.
You can try to take that leap of faith on your special day, but you might end up looking a little something like this.
6. Leggings: Leggings are all about quality, and if they’re not of good quality, they can be transparent and unsupportive. Sometimes, they can be of the wrong size.
Here’s someone that ordered a size too small, one that wouldn’t even fit on one of her fingers. Next time you order online, please make sure you check that the item is made for humans and not a Bratz doll.
7. More Bad Dresses: If there is one thing you can take away from this post, it’s to resort to old fashioned shopping when it involves purchasing crucial items like dresses for a formal event.
Every dress fits every individual’s body differently, and sometimes (most of the time), purchasing without trying it on is not going to do the job.
8. Foam Skirt: Everything is not what it seems. This customer was hoping a cute poof skirt, but what she got in the mail was not necessarily the cutest thing out there.
This looks more like a quilt to put on your sheets than anything else, and it’s safe to say that it wouldn’t be socially acceptable to wear that to the event its intended for.
9. Slit Pants: These pants actually looks super cute and unique in the picture. They’re so cute that its almost hard to believe that it would look like that in real life.
Surely enough, here’s a customer that ended up looking more like Tarzan than the chic chick she was hoping to be.
10. Pet Toys: This one’s actually quite hilarious. Everyone likes to make their pet happy with a toy or snack here and there.
I’m just not sure what type of cat this was actually made for… and this poor kitty had to endure the teasing from the miniature toy.
